Stuck in gear

Hino 2003 fd1j tipper,

Before I go spend a stupid amount of money, thought I'd ask the question.
Hino was in neutral and I couldn't get it into gear. Turned it off put the clutch in and it went into reverse, tried to turn it on again and it even with the clutch in it moves backwards. But stalls out. Any ideas?
And now it's stuck in gear.
Air compressor works gauges say its full
